The Office of International Affairs is recruiting two project administrative staff members. Both on-campus colleagues and external applicants are welcome to apply.
I. Job Responsibilities:
For Dual Degree Student Affairs (1 position, Bachelor's/Master's level):
Dual Degree Student Admissions: Includes eligibility review, compilation and submission of reports, and scholarship administration.
Current Dual Degree Student Affairs: Handling registration, accommodation, insurance, ARC (Alien Resident Certificate), work permits, etc.
CGU Student Participation in Overseas Dual Degree Programs: Related affairs for our students studying abroad.
Foreign Student Work Permit Review: Processing and reviewing work permits for international students.
External Short-Term Overseas Subsidies and Research Exchange Programs: Such as those from the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and similar organizations.
Assisting Departments/Institutes in Promoting Dual Degree Programs and Agreements.
Other tasks and special projects as assigned by supervisors.
For Student Exchange Programs Abroad (1 position, Bachelor's level):
Student Exchange Programs Abroad: Handling all related matters for students participating in overseas exchange programs.
Coordination of Short-Term Overseas Credit Courses: Includes liaison with foreign universities, course announcements, budget planning, and campus promotion/recruitment.
Ministry of Education "Study Abroad Program" (學海飛颺) Subsidies: Administering related subsidy affairs.
Assisting and Promoting CGU's Short-Term Programs: Such as pre-med programs.
Promoting a Bilingual Campus.
Coordinating Foreign Student Buddy/Mentor Programs.
Other tasks and special projects as assigned by supervisors.
Please note: The proportion of duties listed above may be adjusted after the successful candidate reports to duty and subject to approval by the head of the Office of International Affairs, based on the candidate's expertise.
II. Employment Information:
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM). Two-day weekend.
Salary and Benefits: According to Chang Gung University's "Guidelines for Managing Personnel Employed for Research Projects" salary standards. This is a one-year contract, renewable annually.
Bachelor's Level: NT$36,300/month for the first year.
Master's Level: NT$41,500/month for the first year.
Benefits include: Labor and health insurance, year-end and holiday bonuses, eligibility for on-campus single dormitory, free shuttle bus service from Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and A7 MRT Station to campus, discounts on medical services at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and eligibility to apply for flexible work hours (e.g., 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with lunch from 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM, or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM with lunch from 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM).
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher from a college or university.
Experience in international affairs is highly preferred.
Language Proficiency:
TOEIC score of 700 or above, or other equivalent proficiency certification.
Applicants with B2 level language proficiency (TOEIC 750+ or equivalent score) who conduct their interview and presentation in English may apply for a language allowance of NT$1,500 or more per month (depending on proficiency level), subject to supervisor's evaluation.
Applicants who graduated from English-speaking countries or hold citizenship from countries where English is an official language are exempt from submitting English proficiency test scores. However, they must state the reason or provide other supporting documents.
Applicants with a second foreign language proficiency in addition to English should submit a certificate of their second foreign language proficiency. If they obtained their degree in a country where that foreign language is spoken, or hold citizenship of such a country, they may be exempt from submitting the language certificate.
Computer Skills: Basic computer operation and web design skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Other Conditions: Strong communication skills, proactive and enthusiastic attitude, meticulous and responsible, capable of independent administrative work, and a team player. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
