Lee-Ko-Yung Memorial Library’s mission of this library is "Play together. Learn together. Have fun together". It was opened on August 16, 2012, it is the first children-themed library in New Taipei City. The library has a collection of approximately 20,000 volumes, more than two-thirds of which are children's books, and provides nearly 7 domestic newspapers, 50 Chinese periodicals, and 7 Western periodicals, allowing adults and children to enjoy reading together.
Furthermore, Lee-Ko-Yung Memorial Library is open every day and every person are can accessible. Its opening time is Monday to Sunday, open from 8:30am to 17:00 and only Tuesday and Saturday open from 8:30 to 21:00 which is a bit long. To get to the library, we can take the most common shuttle bus of Chang Gung University (CGU) student, which is shuttle bus number 967, we can take from CGU bus stop until SportsParck (Renai Rd.) bus stop and then walk a bit more about 5 minutes to arrive three.
Stepping into the library feels like entering into a peaceful retreat. The soft rustling of pages, the faint smell of books, and the gentle quiet create a sense of tranquil calm. This library isn’t just a place to grab books, it’s a space where stories unfold, curiosity sparks, and minds can wander freely. However, due to some limitations might be size or the library is still innovating, English books are still limited. For me, this library provides a great place to study my own subject, and it has always been more than just a place to read books; it’s a gateway to endless adventures, a heaven for curiosity, and a sanctuary for reflection.
One of the first things we could notice about this Library is its stunning design. Nestled among trees and greenery, it feels like the building itself is part of the landscape. Sunlight streams through large windows, casting warm, inviting light over reading tables. Sitting by the windows with a good book and a view of the trees makes every visit feel special. Moreover, this library isn’t just for quiet reading. It’s a welcoming spot for families too. There’s a fun reading area where children can explore, learn, and let their imaginations run wild while parents browse the shelves. Hearing the happy chatter of children adds a sense of warmth and life to the space.
In essence, I hope this library could be another of your learning opportunities besides Chang Gung university library or cafe. Lee-Ko-Yung Memorial Library could be one of your comfortable places and an enjoyable view to study. I truly hope having this good place to focus on your own work could effectively help improve learning capacity.
