Call for Proposals: Taiwan Experience Education Program (2026 TEEP)

  1. The Ministry of Education (MOE) invites university faculty members in Taiwan to submit project proposals under the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP). The program aims to attract outstanding international students for short-term internships in Taiwan, allowing them to experience the strengths of Taiwan’s education and research resources and encouraging future academic collaboration or degree study in Taiwan.
  2. Participants should be international or overseas Chinese students with at least a high school diploma. Those who already hold a doctoral degree or are currently studying in Taiwan are not eligible.
  3. The internship duration should be between 2 and 6 months. If a participant’s stay in Taiwan is less than two months, the project coordinator must provide an additional explanation (up to 200 words) when submitting the participant list for MOE’s review.
  4. The project period is from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. It is recommended that participants enter Taiwan no later than October 31, 2026.
  5. The fields of the TEEP program focus on:
    1. Six Core Strategic Industries (Information & Digital, Cybersecurity, Precision Health, Green Energy, Defense & Strategy, Civil & Strategic Preparedness)
    2. The “5+2 Industrial Innovation Plan” (Smart Machinery, Asia–Silicon Valley, Green Energy, Biomedical Industry, National Defense, New Agriculture, Circular Economy)
    3. Five Trusted Industries (Semiconductors, Artificial Intelligence, Defense Industry, Security Systems, and Next-Generation Communications).
  6. The maximum monthly subsidy per person:
    1. Industry–Academic Cooperation Projects: NT$20,000–30,000 per person per month
    2. Expanded Source Projects: NT$20,000 per person per month
  7. Scholarship for TEEP Participants: Each TEEP participant shall receive a monthly scholarship of at least NT$15,000 with a maximum of up to NT$30,000 per month. However, the average monthly expenditure per participant must not exceed the funding cap specified in Item 6.
  8. All interested faculty members should upload their project proposals to the online system at https://teep.studyintaiwan.org/project_portal by November 7, 2025.
