Ministry of Education's 2nd Round Selection for the 2025 "Hardships for Students to Study Abroad (學海惜珠)", "Pilot Overseas Internship Program (學海築夢)", and "New Southbound Pilot Overseas Internship Program (新南向學海築夢)" (R.O.C. students only)

  1. This notice is in accordance with the Ministry of Education's official letter No. 1142500745 dated July 3, 2025.
  2. For the second round of selection, the relevant schedule is as follows:
    1. Pilot Overseas Internship Program & Pilot Overseas Internship Program: Internship period must start after December 1, 2025. The latest departure date is October 31, 2026.
      • By August 15, 2025: Full-time faculty members interested in applying (as project PIs) should submit their proposals to their respective department offices for review.
      • By August 30, 2025: Colleges should complete their internal review, determine project ranking and funding priorities, and submit all materials to the Office of International Affairs (OIA).
      • By September 10, 2025: OIA will conduct a university-level review and finalize internal rankings.
      • By September 30, 2025: OIA will complete the online application submission to the Ministry of Education.
      • October to November 2025: The Ministry of Education will review proposals from all institutions.
      • By November 30, 2025: Final results will be announced by the Ministry of Education.
    2. Hardships for Students to Study Abroad (學海惜珠): Application documents must be submitted to the OIA by September 10, 2025.
  3. All principles, review processes, important notes, funding procedures, and final report requirements are to be handled in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s regulations.
