 One of my favorite go-to spots near Chang Gung University is Bafang Dumpling, conveniently located in A7. Whether you’re craving a quick bite or planning to grab takeout, this place knows how to satisfy your dumpling desires. And to make the day even better, a quick shopping spree at PX Mart right nearby seals the deal for a productive outing.

Dumpling Delights

Let’s talk about the star of the show: Bafang’s dumplings and wontons. Their wontons, in particular, are incredible—fresh, tasty, and ridiculously affordable. Whether steamed or in soup, they deliver on both flavor and value. You get a generous portion for just a few NT dollars, making it a perfect choice for students on a budget (like me).

Their dumplings, especially the spicy ones, are another standout. The juicy filling with just the right amount of spice pairs perfectly with their simple yet flavorful dipping sauce. I’ve tried a few different options on the menu, and honestly, I’ve never been disappointed.

Service with a Smile (and a Few Challenges)

The staff is polite and efficient, though English could be a bit limited, depending on the outlet. If you’re like me and don’t speak much Mandarin, pointing at the menu or using a translation app does the trick just fine. They’re used to serving a mix of locals and foreigners, so the vibe is always welcoming.

After indulging in delicious dumplings, the logical next stop is PX Mart, which is conveniently located nearby. It’s a great place to stock up on essentials—snacks, groceries, and even some affordable household items. The layout is straightforward, and you can find almost anything you need. It’s a lifesaver when you’re juggling classes and errands.

Bafang Dumpling in A7 is a solid choice for anyone craving fresh, tasty dumplings or wontons at a price that won’t hurt your wallet. While the lack of drink options might make it less appealing for dine-in enthusiasts, it’s perfect for takeout or a quick meal paired with tea. Combine it with a trip to PX Mart, and you’ve got yourself a satisfying, productive outing in one go.
