Blaser is an internationally renowned researcher in microbiome science and infectious diseases. His research has focused extensively on the relationships among the human microbiome, antibiotic use, and human health. He has also served in prominent scientific and advisory roles with the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). In this seminar, Professor Blaser will discuss why antibiotics are overused from a One Health perspective, exploring the scientific and public health implications of antibiotic use and its impact on the human microbiome.
