Reminder of Procedures for Handling Suspected Abandoned or Long-Unmoved Vehicles in Campus Parking Areas (Please be informed)

1. To maintain order in campus parking areas, the following procedures shall apply to vehicles suspected of being abandoned or remaining unmoved for an extended period:

(1) If a vehicle is suspected of being abandoned or has remained unmoved for an extended period, the University may notify the vehicle owner or post a removal notice in a prominent location on the vehicle. If the vehicle remains unmoved for more than one week following such notification, the University may relocate the vehicle to a designated storage area.

(2) If, after relocation, the vehicle remains unclaimed for one month following public notice, the University may proceed with further disposition in accordance with applicable waste disposal procedures. Any costs incurred for the relocation and storage of the vehicle shall be borne by the vehicle owner or user.
