Results of the Inspection of Cooking Oils Used in Campus Student Cafeterias (Please be informed)

1. In response to the recent food safety incident involving cooking oils reported in the media, the Office of General Affairs completed a comprehensive inspection of the cooking oils used by all campus student dining facilities on July 2, 2026. The inspection found that most food service vendors use soybean salad oil produced by Master, DaChan, and TaiSugar, none of which are among the products identified in the reported incident. No cooking oils associated with the incident were found during the inspection.
2. The inspection also found that one food service vendor was using 18-liter soybean salad oil produced by Fumao Yikang and Fu Shou. Verification of the production batch numbers confirmed that they did not match the affected batches identified in media reports. Nevertheless, to further strengthen food safety management, the University immediately required the vendor to suspend the use of the related products as a precautionary measure and replace them in full.
3. The Office of General Affairs will continue to strengthen supervision of campus food hygiene management and food safety inspections to safeguard the health and food safety of all faculty members, staff, and students.
