| 整體教學目標 | 因應轉譯醫學的概念產生及近年來動物模型在研究人類疾病上的快速進展。此課程目的為提供臨床與基礎研究的銜接。希望更多非以果蠅發育為主要興趣的學生,能從此課程了解如何使用果蠅探討疾病機轉,進而增進疾病診斷及治療的效果。 |
| 教學方法 | The instructor will give an introduction of medical aspects of Developmental Biology at the beginning of the course. Each disease topic will be covered by two successive classes in two weeks. Instructor will give background knowledge of Developmental Biology and Drosophila Genetics related to this specific disease in the first week, and in the second week a selected current research paper focusing on the disease will be discussed in class. Therefore, students are required to finish the paper reading before attending the class. This course aims to help students to understand the strategies used in the animal model for human disease study, and the advantage and disadvantage of this model system. |
| 課程簡介 | 課程開始從醫學角度對發育作簡介.內容包含果蠅遺傳學及果蠅研究的新技術應用.接著以閱讀近期文獻討論方式 深入了解如何使用果蠅探討疾病機轉,包括各類癌症,遺傳性神經疾病,代謝疾病及幹細胞/再生醫學等議題. 此課程目地為訓練學生了解研究主題的產生,研究方法的選擇使用及對發育問題的思考.以期培養學生獨立研究及吸收新知的能力. |
