Gradually replace traditional lighting fixtures with LED lights. In 2022, 8,807 LED lights were replaced. In 2023, about 2,500 lights have been replaced in Te De Building, Ming De Building, and the restaurant, with plans to replace the lights in the laboratory area within the next two years.

Replace 47 elevators across the campus. The new elevators feature an AC variable frequency control system, with additional energy recovery devices that can save an additional 25% in electricity.

The entire campus uses 100% high-efficiency (CSPF/EER) or variable frequency air conditioning.

The new chiller system, with variable frequency and continuous air conditioning control, was completed in December 2022. The estimated annual electricity savings are about NT$1.07 million.

The student dormitory area started using 100% heat pump devices to provide hot water in 2021, replacing boiler equipment that burned heavy oil.

Green energy solar power generation equipment: The first phase (activity center rooftop) was completed on August 31, 2022, and metering was completed on April 26, 2023. From April to November 2023, the solar power generation totaled 436,558 kWh. The second phase of the project will be installed on the rooftops of the Engineering Building and the Second Medical Building, expected to be completed by the end of December 2024. The estimated renewable energy usage share will increase to 4%.
