Course Objectives and Content

This course promotes the reuse of recycled paper to create notebooks, aligning with the principles of circular economy and resource sustainability while emphasizing low-carbon and green energy transition. The activities cover paper recycling, recycled paper bookbinding, and French sewing techniques, integrating creative design to enhance the value of waste paper regeneration. The course supports SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by reducing resource consumption and fostering a sustainable production and consumption model.


Course Outcomes

Through this course, students gained a deeper understanding of paper materials and bookbinding techniques, learning to identify paper characteristics and how different binding methods affect the final work. By combining theory with hands-on practice, students enhanced their creative skills in resource reuse while experiencing the dual benefits of sustainability and design. Many students found the course highly beneficial and expressed enthusiasm for future opportunities to further explore sustainability concepts.
