Congratulations to Asst. Prof. Han-Po Shih on Receiving the Outstanding Paper Award of the 35th Wang Ming-Ning Awards

  1. A total of 7 outstanding individuals have won the Outstanding Paper Award of the 35th Wang Ming-Ning Awards.
  2. Assistant Professor Han-Po Shih established a fully human single-B-cell cloning platform in this study and successfully isolated 19 monoclonal antibodies from patients with mycobacterial infection underlying anti–interferon-γ autoantibodies. This work clearly elucidated how these autoantibodies inhibit the biological activity of interferon-γ in patients, and further revealed that those with strong neutralizing capacity hold therapeutic potential for treating diseases driven by aberrant interferon-γ activation.
