Pre-med Enhancement Summer Program

The Pre-med Enhancement Summer Program, offered by the College of Medicine at Chang Gung University, is designed for international undergraduate students planning to apply to medical schools in North America. It provides a unique and advanced learning experience, equipping students with essential foundational knowledge for their medical education.

This program features in-person introductory lectures on medical sciences, hands-on laboratory experiences, and immersive clinical skill simulations. Students will have the opportunity to engage in clinical shadowing at Taiwan's largest medical center, gaining firsthand insight into physicians' daily responsibilities. They will also have the chance to observe surgeries in the operating room. Additionally, the program includes specialized lectures on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), where students will learn about herbal medicine, experience TCM therapies such as cupping and gua sha firsthand, and participate in a hands-on medicinal cuisine cooking activity.

This six-week summer program offers a comprehensive medical learning experience combined with valuable cultural exchange opportunities for students preparing for medical school admission.
