研究主題

  1. 天然物在心血管疾病之機轉探討;針對冠狀動脈的發生過程與機制,研究藥物抑制血小板以及發炎細胞(嗜中性白血球)活化的相關機轉,藉以研發對於心血管疾病的有效用藥。研究過程中針對藥物對血小板以及嗜中性白血球細胞內訊息傳遞之探討,包括藥物與細胞表面受體結合、酵素活性、自由基清除、細胞內鈣離子變化,以及細胞內二級訊息傳遞之分析。
  2. 探討天然藥物抗自由基之研究;自由基參與許多生理及病理現象,包括免疫反應、老化、甚至與癌症的發生亦有關連。自由基除了被白血球用於殺菌外,不正常過多的自由基對許多細胞造成不必要的傷害。因此藉由中草藥對自由基清除的研究,對於中草藥在藥品或健康食品發展上,能有更進一步的幫助。
  3. 研究血液中細胞與細胞間的交互作用;探討細胞表面吸附分子生理及病理角色,並且配合天然藥物對細胞間交互作用的影響,探討吸附分子表現之訊息傳遞,以期瞭解吸附分子在血栓形成過程中,生理病理角色,並且藉由藥物機制的探討,找出能預防血栓形成更有效的藥物。研究方法以全血的狀態下進行,目的是可以達到較接近生理狀態。
  4. 研究天然藥物調控人類嗜中性白血球與血小板交互作用機轉、探討血小板刺激嗜中性白血球細胞外陷阱捕捉 (neutrophil extracellular traps; NET) 的機轉與藥物效果,並以動物血栓及肝臟再灌流模式,評估天然藥物的應用。
