The Latest World’s Top 2% Scientists List (Released in September 2025) The “World’s Top 2% Scientists” list, released in September 2025, was compiled by Stanford University (USA) based on data from Scopus. The ranking evaluates all researchers listed in Scopus, covering 22 main scientific fields and 174 subfields, using several key citation indicators, including: Total number of citations Hirsch h-index Schreiber Hm-index (co-author adjusted h-index) Citations of papers authored as a single author Citations of papers authored as a single or first author Citations of papers authored as a single, first, or last author The final ranking is determined by the C-Score, which integrates six logarithmically transformed citation indicators (NC, H, Hm, NS, NSF, NSFL). Each indicator is normalized to a value between 0 and 1 (where 1 represents the highest value among all scientists). The normalized values are then summed to generate the overall C-Score. At our university: 35 faculty members were selected for the Lifetime Achievement list. 48 faculty members were selected for the 2025 Annual Top 2% Scientists list. 25 faculty members appeared on both lists (overlapping selections).
