With “VIBE” as its core concept, the University Library is holding an online themed e-book exhibition “V.I.B.E. – Read the Vibe.” This exhibition features a diverse selection of e-book collections, allowing readers to enjoy unrestricted access to reading anytime and anywhere throughout the winter break. The online exhibition invites you to explore various reading atmospheres and mindsets based on your current emotions and needs. A scenario-based mini quiz is also provided to help you quickly find a reading list that best matches “this moment.” 🔮 V – Visionary | See the Future Stand on the crest of knowledge rather than being swept away by the waves. Selected themes include technology, AI, Web3, and social change, perfect for those curious about the world’s direction and eager to peek into the future. 🌿 I – Inner Peace | Serenity Within Life is noisy—let’s press the mute button first. 【Event】Used Book Exchange Activities now Open for Participation!Used Book Exchange Activities Now Open for Participation! Participant: All faculty, staff, and students of the university. Event Period: From now until March 20, 2026 (Friday). (1) Book Donation Period: From now until March 4, 2026, during Library opening hours. During the semester (from now until January 4, 2026; from February 23 to March 4, 2026): Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM. During winter vacation (January 5 to February 13, 2026): Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Note: No book donations will be accepted during the Lunar New Year Holiday (February 14 to February 22, 2026). (2) Book Pickup Period: Phase 1 (for readers with credit-credit-points): March 9-13, 2026. Phase 2 (for readers without credit-points): March 16-20, 2026. Both phases: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Accepted Book Categories: (1) Copyrighted genuine books. (2) Not accepted: Magazines, audiovisual materials, promotional or religious publications, reference books or textbooks for high school level or below, and computer books or language-learning books published more than 5 years ago. Note: Please do not donate books that are moldy, dirty, or severely damaged. Event Guidelines: (1) Book Donation: Please bring your books to the Library 1F counter. After verifying that the books meet the donation criteria, Library staff will log the books, and email the donor the number of credit-points earned (see point 2 below). The credit-points can be used in two additional future Library used book exchange activities (in a total of 3 events). After each event, the Library will record the remaining credit-points and notify the donor by email. The first 20 donors will receive a specially-designed thank-you card (one card per person). (2) Credit-Point Calculation: Each book earns 1 point. To encourage textbook exchange, textbooks used for courses (please specify the course year, department, and course name) will earn additional credit-points based on publication year: Books published within 5 years (2021 or later): Chinese books - 3 credit-points per book; Western books - 7 credit-points per book. Books published 6-10 years ago (2016-2020): Chinese books - 2 credit-points per book; Western books - 5 credit-points per book. Books published over 10 years ago (before 2016): Chinese books - 1 point per book; Western books - 2 credit-points per book. (3) Book List Announcement: The Library will post the list of books available for exchange on Library website on March 6, 2026 (Friday). (4) Book Exchange: For readers with credit-points (including carried-over credit-points from previous activities): Please visit Library counter@1F during Phase 1 (March 9-13, 2026) to exchange books equivalent to your available credit-points. No reservations or holds are accepted. During the first three days of Phase 1 (March 9-11, 2026), each reader can exchange up to 5 books per day. For readers without credit-points: Please select books at the 1F counter during Phase 2 (March 16-20, 2026). Event Rewards: (1) Prizes: Those donating 15 credit-points or more can participate in a raffle for a 500 NTD gift card (3 winners). Those donating 5 to 14 credit-points can participate in a raffle for a 300 NTD gift card (5 winners). Those donating 4 credit-points or fewer can participate in a raffle for a 100 NTD gift card (5 winners). (2) Winner Announcement: March 26, 2026 (Thursday) at 12:10 PM. (3) Raffle Method: Conducted through an online random selection program and will be streamed live on the Library 's Facebook page. This event does not involve monetary transactions. Books not taken will be handled by the Library as appropriate.
