  6. Event Guidelines:
  7. (1) Book Donation:
Please bring your books to the Library 1F counter. After verifying that the books meet the donation criteria, Library staff will log the books, and email the donor the number of credit-points earned (see point 2 below). The credit-points can be used in two additional future Library used book exchange activities (in a total of 3 events). After each event, the Library will record the remaining credit-points and notify the donor by email. The first 20 donors will receive a specially-designed thank-you card (one card per person).
    (2) Credit-Point Calculation:
Each book earns 1 point. To encourage textbook exchange, textbooks used for courses (please specify the course year, department, and course name) will earn additional credit-points based on publication year:
    • Books published within 5 years (2021 or later): Chinese books - 3 credit-points per book; Western books - 7 credit-points per book.
    • Books published 6-10 years ago (2016-2020): Chinese books - 2 credit-points per book; Western books - 5 credit-points per book.
    • Books published over 10 years ago (before 2016): Chinese books - 1 point per book; Western books - 2 credit-points per book.
    (3) Book List Announcement: The Library will post the list of books available for exchange on Library website on March 6, 2026 (Friday).
    (4) Book Exchange:
    • For readers with credit-points (including carried-over credit-points from previous activities): Please visit Library counter@1F during Phase 1 (March 9-13, 2026) to exchange books equivalent to your available credit-points. No reservations or holds are accepted. During the first three days of Phase 1 (March 9-11, 2026), each reader can exchange up to 5 books per day.
    • For readers without credit-points: Please select books at the 1F counter during Phase 2 (March 16-20, 2026).
