2025/10/21 Leica Stellaris8 laser confocal workshop

Leica Stellaris8 Confocal Microscope Training Workshop

In August 2025, the Microscopy Core Facility acquired the SpectraPlex module,

a cutting-edge toolkit for advanced 3D multiplex imaging, specifically designed for spatial biology research.

When integrated with the Leica Stellaris8 super-resolution confocal microscope platform,

it forms the Leica Stellaris8 SpectraPlex high-content 3D multicolor fluorescence imaging system.

Equipped with a broadband white-light laser tunable from 440 nm to 790 nm,

the system features high-sensitivity Power HyD detectors, TauSense technology, and innovative designs

such as Staining Groups and 3D-Automatic Unmixing offered by the SpectraPlex module.

This powerful setup enables exploration of cellular composition, distribution, and

functional biomolecules within biological tissues to define functional regions

and study interactions among cell populations. The SpectraPlex Staining Group provides

essential reference data for 3D-Automatic Unmixing, ensuring data quality and reliability,

while opening new possibilities in spatial biology. In practical applications,

it can achieve up to 15-color multiplex immunophenotyping. With the ability to capture

real-time lifetime spectral information beyond traditional spectral data,

researchers gain improved flexibility for multi-wavelength experiments, enabling advanced

multicolor fluorescence and multichannel imaging strategies. All faculty and students are welcome to attend.
