【News】Distinguished Professor Jane Hsu to serve as the Associate Dean of the College of Intelligent Computing, effective from February 1, 2024

Professor Jane Yung-jen Hsu has joined the Chang-Gung University as a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence, College of Intelligent Computing. She is also appointed as the Associate Dean of the College of Intelligent Computing, effective February 1, 2024. 

Formerly a faculty member at the National Taiwan University in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering and the Graduate Institute of Networking and Multimedia, Prof. Hsu held various leadership positions including Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at NTU, and the Convener of the Taiwan National Science and Technology Council’s Intelligent Computing Discipline, among others.

Prof. Hsu currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Strategy Committee, Taiwan Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (Taiwan AICoE) in the Taiwan National Science and Technology Council.  She is also the Director of the NTU IoX Center and a Supervisor of the Taiwanese Association for Artificial Intelligence (TAAI). 

With over thirty years of dedicated research and education experience in artificial intelligence, Prof. Hsu's research interests include Trustworthy AI, Human-AI/Robot Team, Smart IoT, Multi-modal Generative AI and Commonsense Knowledge. Prof. Hsu is actively involved in the international academic community, having served as the President of the TAAI, Conference Chairs for IEEE iThings, TAAI Conference, and AAAI Human Computation Conference. She has served as an Editorial Board Member for international journals including Intelligent Data Analysis, Service-Oriented Computing and Applications, and JISE.

All members in the College of Intelligent Computing are very excited to have Prof. Hsu join our already-superb workforce. Her distinguished academic achievements in the field of artificial intelligence will strongly enhance our teaching and research capabilities and bring our domestic and international visibility and impact to the next level.
