The Taiwan Scholarship Program is offered by different government agencies in Taiwan to support outstanding international students pursuing degree programs in Taiwan.

  • MOE Taiwan Scholarship: Offered by the Ministry of Education
  • MOFA Taiwan Scholarship: Offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Award Period

  • Master’s programs: Up to two years
  • Doctoral programs: Up to four years
  • The cumulative award period may not exceed five years.
  • Scholarship Benefits

    MOE Taiwan Scholarship

    • Monthly living allowance: NT$20,000
    • Tuition and miscellaneous fee subsidy: Up to NT$40,000 per semester

    If the tuition and miscellaneous fees exceed NT$40,000 per semester, the recipient is responsible for paying the remaining amount.

    MOFA Taiwan Scholarship

    • Monthly living allowance: NT$33,000
    • Airfare: One economy-class, one-way ticket to Taiwan and one economy-class, one-way return ticket upon completion of the program

    Application Period

    Applications are generally accepted from February 1 to March 31 each year.
    Actual application dates are subject to announcements issued by the relevant overseas mission.

    How to Apply

    International students must apply through the nearest Taiwan embassy or representative office in their home country.

    Applications for these scholarships are not submitted directly to Chang Gung University.

    Important Notice

    Taiwan Scholarship recipients may not concurrently receive any other scholarship or subsidy provided by a Taiwan government agency, organization, or educational institution in Taiwan.
