Standard Scholarship Package

Scholarship Benefits
  • Monthly Stipend/Part-Time Research Assistantship: NT$6,000 per month, funded by the University or the student’s academic advisor.
  • Tuition and Miscellaneous Fee Waiver: During the first and second years of study, recipients will receive financial aid equivalent to the tuition and miscellaneous fees or credit fees payable by master’s students each semester.
  • Accommodation Fee Waiver (Quadruple Room): Available to students admitted to a master’s program under the University’s admission regulations for international students who have completed registration.

    • Eligibility and Award Requirements

    Before Enrollment:

    • Applicants must meet the English-language proficiency requirement.

    After Enrollment:

    • Students must take one basic Mandarin Chinese course offered by the University during their first year.
    • Students must maintain an overall semester average of at least 80 throughout their period of study.

    Additional Scholarship for Outstanding Students

    Eligibility and Award Requirements
    Students who meet the above requirements and the GRE score criteria may receive an additional monthly living stipend.
  • GRE Quantitative Reasoning score:
    • A score of 160: an additional monthly stipend of NT$2,000.
    • Above 160: an additional NT$1,000 per month for each additional point, up to NT$12,000 per month for a score of 170.
    • Additional Provisions
    Retroactive Payment:
    Students who obtain a qualifying GRE score no later than the beginning of their second semester may apply to receive the additional monthly stipend retroactively.
    GRE Test Fee Subsidy:
    After completing registration, students may apply for a one-time reimbursement of the GRE test fee.
    Submission Deadlines：
    • Fall Admission: The GRE must be taken by January 31 of the following year. The score report and receipt must be submitted by the end of February.
    • Spring Admission: The GRE must be taken by July 31 of the same year. The score report and receipt must be submitted by the end of August.

    Scholarship Terms

    1. If scholarship places remain available, students who meet the English proficiency requirement before the beginning of their second semester may apply for retroactive payment of the monthly living stipend.
    - Fall intake: Eligibility must be met by January 31 of the following year.
    - Spring intake: Eligibility must be met by July 31 of the same year.

    2. Scholarship applications, reviews, and disbursements are processed on a semester basis.

    3. Scholarships are provided for a maximum of two years (four semesters). Students who study beyond this period are no longer eligible for financial support.

    Award Period and Disbursement Schedule

  • Funding is provided for six months per semester, for a maximum of four semesters.
  • The monthly living stipend funded by Chang Gung University is disbursed in installments around the middle and end of each semester.
