Remote Access to Electronic Resources
- Eligible Users: Current faculty, staff, and enrolled students of Chang Gung University.
- Service Description: To facilitate academic research, the library provides remote access authentication for users outside the campus IP range. Once authenticated, users can access the library's electronic resources.

How to use:
- Visit the Chang Gung University Library website from outside the campus IP range. Choose the desired electronic resource system, including the electronic resource search system, e-books, e-journals, discovery system, and thesis/dissertation system. The system will prompt for authentication; after successful login, users can access the library's electronic resources.
- Alternatively, users can directly select the remote access authentication option. The system will prompt for authentication, and upon successful login, access to electronic resources will be granted.
- Account and Password:
- Enter the library account used to check personal borrowing records.
- Faculty/Staff: Use your Notes ID.
- Students: Use your student ID number.
- Default Password: Your date of birth in ROC calendar format ( YYYMMDD ).
- Usage Guidelines:
- Electronic resources are for individual research purposes only.
- Prohibited Actions: Mass downloading, continuous retrieval, or use of automated tools to systematically download or print full-text content.
- Intellectual Property: Users must respect copyright laws. Any violation will result in termination of access and legal liability.
- Important Notice: The University's campus VPN does not support remote access to electronic resources.
Electronic Resource Retrieval Service
- Discovery & Delivery Service: Function: A unified search platform, similar to Google, that allows users to retrieve resources across multiple systems, including print/e-books, print/e-journals, audiovisual materials, and databases. The system also provides guidance on how to access the retrieved materials.
- E-Resources Gateway: Function: A centralized interface for searching both subscribed and open access databases, e-journals, e-books, and online resources that allows users to browse and quickly access various types of electronic resources.
- Full-Text SFX System: Function: Allows users to find access paths to full-text content. For example, in Google Scholar, look for the link "Full text@Chang Gung Univ" or the

- Library resource instruction workshops:
- Regular Workshops:
- Each semester, the library offers database instruction courses for faculty and students.
- Registration: Register online through the library's database instruction courses webpage.
- Customized Training:
- Customized workshops are available upon request to meet course needs.
- Registration Guidelines:
- Groups of 6 or more: Submit request at least one week in advance.
