Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Program Coordinator: Dr. Ying-Chieh Liu

The 21st century is an era of rapid transformation. With the swift advancement and dissemination of information technology and the growing maturity of a diverse society, innovation has become a dynamic process involving the generation, application, and diffusion of knowledge. At the heart of innovation lies creativity—the spark that ignites change.
In response to the evolving global economic landscape and the rise of the knowledge economy, the government has, in recent years, prioritized the enhancement of creativity as a key national development strategy. Cultivating creativity and innovation is not only essential for improving the overall quality of the population but also a prerequisite for developing a knowledge-based economy. As such, creativity education has become a central focus of future educational initiatives.
To align with these trends, our college has established the Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program. The program aims to develop and enhance students’ creative potential, foster habits of innovative thinking, and empower them to apply their professional knowledge in developing sustainable products and business models. Its core objectives include:
  • Providing a structured learning framework for entrepreneurial knowledge and skills
  • Encouraging the integration of professional expertise with market awareness
  • Creating simulated entrepreneurial environments for hands-on experience
  • Bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world business practice
Through this program, students will cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, enabling them to launch startups or enter the workforce with confidence and the ability to apply their skills effectively
