As society ages, how can technology better meet the needs of older adults and support more practical, accessible, and person-centered care? This symposium brings together international and local experts from academic and industry fields. They will share the latest ideas and practical experiences in gerontechnology, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, social robots, health promotion, and innovative care. 【國際講座】112年4月21日:Introduction of RadioTheranostics: Molecular Imaging and Therapy

健康老化研究中心EMI Lecture and Seminar by Dr. Ming-Kai Chen   活動時間:112年4月21日(五) 下午12:10-13:10PM 講題: Introduction of RadioTheranostics: Molecular Imaging and Therapy 講師: Yale Positron Emission Tomography(PET) Center, Yale University / Dr. Ming-Kai Chen 講者介紹: Ming-Kai Chen, MD, PhD, is a radiologist in the Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging and co-medical director of PET Center. He has special expertise in nuclear medicine—a type of imaging that uses radioactive materials to detect and treat disease—as well as oncologic molecular imaging, which is used to take detailed imagines of the body at a cellular level to detect and monitor cancer. Dr. Chen, an associate professor of radiology and biomedical imaging at Yale School of Medicine, is conducting research and a clinical trial about the use of PET imaging for synaptic density in the Alzheimer’s disease. 演講摘要: The concept of “theranostics” is a strategy involving both diagnostics and therapeutics. Radiotheranostics is using specific radionuclide-labeled pharmaceuticals for both diagnosis and therapy of diseases. I-131 radioactive iodine has been widely used for diagnosis and treatment of hyperthyroid and thyroid cancer. Recently, peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) in combination of molecular peptide receptor imaging has become a successful strategy for neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) based molecular imaging and targeted therapy for prostate cancer will transform the management of oncologic patients soon.  The theranostic principle has established a foundation for further expansion of promising agents into other diseases.

[恭喜]老化認知團隊林仲志副教授榮獲第15屆「國家新創獎」-「智慧衣為基礎之整合照護平台」

第15屆「國家新創獎」-「智慧衣為基礎之整合照護平台」 資工系林仲志副教授 長庚大學智慧衣研發團隊與愛克智慧科技、新普科技、智慧醫學科技與遵宇科技等企業合作,結合產學研的力量,整合台灣醫療、紡織與電子三大產業,成功地開發新一代的多功能生理即時監控的智慧衣,可進行二十四小時心電訊號、呼吸、溫度、汗液及姿態等資料監控,配合健康照護服務平臺協助達到「健康照護及預警」個人導向的全方位健康照護服務。本團隊所開發之智慧衣是以模組的方式設計,產品包括:(1)汗液感測衣;(2)穿戴式智慧型人體姿態與動作監測智慧背心;(3)心臟功能智慧衣;(4)體溫感測衣,可以針對不同的需求客製化設計所需要的功能,可設計成運動型、醫養機構型、居家照護型、電玩型產品與醫療專業型等不同產品。 以長庚大學智慧衣為基礎之整合照護平台計畫主要目標為協助台灣電子業與紡織業進行產業升級,降低跨入健康照護產業的風險,取得台灣在這個市場的領導地位,有助於協助台灣企業打入大陸以及全世界健康照護市場。整個技術架構共分五個層次: (1) 元件層(Sensor components):除了進行心率、汗液、姿態、體溫、呼吸穿戴生理感測器關鍵性技術研發外,也將進行模組化的模組整合。簡單而言模組可分兩個部分,一是編織技術整合開發具備生理感測功能的編織物,另一則是將演算法與通訊晶片整合,以共伴晶片的架構,讓感測生理資料可以透過簡單的零件模組下,即可完成資料特徵值計算以及資料的傳送。 (2) 資料閘道(Gateway):設計輕薄短小容易配戴的資料擷取分析裝置,除將待機時間增長之外,更要提供可靠的資料存取機制,即時記錄並分析生理資料。主要關鍵性技術包括訊號閘道軟硬體系統開發、生理分析演算法與電源管理三大課題。 (3) 軟體APP:開發健康趨勢分析與異常早期預警等個人化服務應用軟體。 (4) 雲端:透過平台的建置與管理,藉由跨平台的資料交換與彙整,建立一個足以進行資料分析的大數據資料庫,結合高速運算的機制,開發資料探勘演算法,萃取重要資訊,進行同齡族群或高危險群趨勢分析。 (5) 服務:提供個人健康管理、特殊目的之運動訓練與遠距照護服務。 轉自資訊:長庚校訓167期

2020 ISMRM & SMRT VIRTUAL CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION 08-14 August 2020 2020 ISMRM Awards Chen, Po-Yuan Chang Gung University Topic: Fibre-specific white matter degeneration in the patients with Progressive supranuclear palsy   Po-Yuan Chen, Yi-Ming Wu, Yi-Hsin Weng, and Jiun-Jie Wang Synopsis Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is an atypical Parkinsonism but with a faster progressive course. Previous studies indicated that PSP patients showed not only gray matter volume decrease but also white matter tract degeneration. We use fixel based analysis to examine the difference in the fibre bundle (FD), fibre-bundle cross-section (FC) and combination of fibre density and bundle cross-sectional area (FDC) between patients with PSP and healthy controls. The results show that significant degeneration of white matter in PSP patients. The major advantage to this study is providing a fixel-based comparison that indicate more directly interpretable measures of structural integrity. Introduction Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is an atypical Parkinsonism which shares similar clinical motor symptoms with Parkinson’s disease (PD) but with a faster progressive course. Although studies reported gray matter atrophy in the thalamus, insula, frontal and temporal gyri, PSP can be characterized by the pathological changes and degeneration affecting the white matter, particularly in the cortocispinal tract and cerebellar peduncle. Fixel based analysis (FBA) has been used to characterize multiple fibre orientations within the voxel of interest. This technique allowed us to measure the total intra-axonal volume of white matter axons, therefore providing a method that can be used to detect degeneration within white matter tracts. FBA can be used to evaluate density of fibres within a fibre bundle (FD), fibre- bundle cross-section (FC) and combination of both fibre density and bundle cross-sectional area (FDC). This study aimed to investigate the pattern of white matter degeneration in patients with PSP. We examined the difference in the FD, FC and FDC between patients with PSP and healthy controls.

[恭喜]中草藥研究團隊黃聰龍教授榮獲『第29屆王民寧獎-藥學類』

一、依財團法人王民寧先生紀念基金會108年11月18日(108)寧聖評字第0007號函辦理。   二、財團法人王民寧先生紀念基金會為獎勵醫藥學術發展和鼓勵專業研究,並積極推動製藥發展、獎助專業人才從事學術研究開發等目標,特設置本獎項。   三、『第29屆王民寧獎』之『學術研究成果對醫藥科技發展、國民健康和國家社會傑出貢獻獎』全國共計3位優秀人才獲獎。   四、黃聰龍教授與國內及國際學者專家組成研究團隊,長期致力於嗜中性白血球調控免疫發炎疾病的藥理研究,並且建立藥物標靶,開發治療免疫發炎疾病的先導化合物,對國內醫藥研究和發展有實質貢獻。   五、恭賀本校醫學院/中醫學系、生物醫學研究所-黃聰龍教授獲獎。            本中心中草藥抗老化功能標的探索研究團隊,致力於建立化學、細胞和動物研發平台,探索具有抗老化疾病功效的中藥、植物、海洋生物,且成功分離和鑑定出有效成分,並進行化學結構和活性探索,並在酵素、細胞和動物實驗當中進一步探討藥理機制和驗證臨床前功效。 今年度於嗜中性白血球調控免疫發炎疾病的藥理研究,並且成功建立藥物標靶,及開發治療免疫發炎疾病的先導化合物。研究成果證實嗜中性白血球在急性呼吸窘迫症以及乾癬的致病機制和重要性,同時發現調控嗜中性白血球免疫發炎反應的新穎性藥物標靶,進一步研發中草藥與化合物來治療嗜中性白血球造成的發炎和自體免疫疾病。中草藥團隊主持人黃聰龍教授在嗜中性白血球的研究,成果斐然並深具創新性,具有藥理學的學術重要性與藥物學的實務應用價值,不僅對國內醫藥發展有實質貢獻(亦榮獲第29屆王民寧獎,學術研究成果對醫藥科技發展、國民健康和國家社會傑出貢獻獎),且受到國際學術界肯定,其團隊將持續進行抗發炎藥物轉譯研究,以期對國家生技產業的提升有所貢獻。
