Smart Clothes: A New Era for Dementia Caregivers

In this presentation, Yea-Ing L Shyu from Chang Gung University discusses a breakthrough study on how smart clothes–assisted care supports families living with dementia. The research demonstrates that wearable technology, paired with real-time nurse feedback, significantly increases caregiver preparedness and confidence. Results show that this system helps prevent the decline in mental health and balance typically experienced by family members in traditional care roles. Learn how these wearable innovations are transforming home-based support and improving the quality of life for both caregivers and patients.
