The 114th Academic Year Commencement Ceremony was successfully held on May 30, 2026.

marking an important milestone in both their personal lives and professional

Among this year’s graduates, all Ph.D. graduates
from the Clinical Medicine Program are practicing clinical physicians. Despite
demanding clinical responsibilities, they remained committed to academic research
and successfully earned their doctoral degrees. Their remarkable achievements
demonstrate exceptional self-discipline, professional excellence, and
perseverance and are truly commendable.

These graduates have long served on the front lines
of clinical care, safeguarding patients’ health while continuously advancing
their research training. By successfully completing their Ph.D. studies, they
exemplify the model of clinician‑scientists who seamlessly integrate clinical
practice with academic research.
Dr. Monica Illescas Ralda, an international student from Guatemala, overcame geographical and cultural challenges to achieve this
significant academic milestone, contributing a meaningful chapter to the
Institute’s internationalization efforts.
In addition, Dr. Pei‑Chun Fan and Dr. Chih‑Hsiang Chang, a married
couple, supported and encouraged one another while balancing demanding medical
careers, jointly completing their doctoral studies and adding a heartwarming
and inspiring story to this year’s graduating class.
