FISS has enhanced Taiwan's academic visibility and earned praise from international scholars. It has even drawn attention from prestigious journals like Science Immunology and Journal of Experimental Medicine. FISS is one of the few international-level immunology gatherings in Taiwan, offering a chance to connect with leading scholars and journal editors.
This year's symposium continues its "10+1" speaker lineup tradition, featuring notable participants such as French keynote speaker Dr. Alain Fischer, whose research is a strong contender for the Nobel Prize, and Dr. Ellen V. Rothenberg, who is known for her commitment to academic exchange despite natural disasters. Domestic experts like Dr. Mine-Chie Hong, President of China Medical University, and Dr. Chih-Hao Lee, Director of Genomics Research at Academia Sinica, are also on board.
This year introduces a "Translational Immunology Pre-Meeting Series," where cutting-edge findings—such as Dr. Huang-Yu Yang's study that was published in Nature Metabolism—will be shared. Interested individuals are encouraged to arrive early on 17 May to participate in this special session.
