    List of Student Clubs and Societies

    【Establishment of student clubs】 1.To establish a student club in the school (which will be known as club in the following text), 10 or more students should collaborate to submit an application to the Section of Extracurricular Activities. If the nature or content of the club to be established is a repeat of existing clubs, or if it has inappropriate aims, the application will not be approved. 2.The application should follow the procedures below: 2-1. At the end of the semester, the club founder should submit 『The Chang Gung University Club Establishment Application Form』, a one-year activity plan, and a three-year development plan in hardcopy to the Section of Extracurricular Activities for approval. 2-2. Once approved, the founder should hold an organizing meeting within 2 weeks. The founder should also draft the club's rules and regulations, recruit members (no less than 15 members) as well as hold a club establishment meeting. 2-3. Two days before the club establishment meeting, the Section of Extracurricular Activities should be informed. 2-4. Within 1 week of the meeting, the following documents, including the club's rules and regulations, organization structure chart, activity plan, organizing committee members’ list, club members’ name list, details of the guidance teacher, etc. should be submitted to the Section of Extracurricular Activities. 【Organizing club activities】 10 days before an activity is organized, the Chang Gung University Student Extracurricular Activity Application Form needs to be filled out at the Section of Extracurricular Activities.     Accommodation

    Introduction of Dorm, including application, fees and regulations   Yun De Building (Dorm 1), Ju De Building (Dorm 2) Each room is a four-person suite, sharing one set of lavatory/showering facilities. Beds (excluding mattresses), desks, desk lights, bookshelves, chairs, wardrobes, drawers, and internal extension lines are available. Every boarding student has a personal network access port to enjoy around the clock free online service. Amenity room, laundry room, pay phone, and tea room are available on all floors. The laundry room is equipped with washing machines and dryers. Chong De Building (Dorm 1), Yi De Building (Dorm 1) Each room is a two-person suite, sharing one set of lavatory/showering facilities. Beds (excluding mattresses), desks, desk lights, bookshelves, chairs, wardrobes, drawers, and internal extension lines are available. Every boarding student has a personal network access port to enjoy around the clock free online service. Amenity room, laundry room, pay phone, and tea room are available on some floors. The laundry room is equipped with washing machines and dryers. Ming De Building (Dorm 3; a.k.a. Freshman Dorm) Each room is a four-person suite. Beds (excluding mattresses), desks, desk lights, bookshelves, chairs, wardrobes, drawers, and internal extension lines are available in each chamber. All boarding students have a personal network access port to enjoy free online service (late-night off-line requirements are imposed on freshmen; restrictions for other students vary from department to department.). Amenity room, laundry room, pay phone and tea room are available on all floors. The laundry room has washing machines and dryers. Pay phones, restaurants and a convenience store are available on the first floor. Fees: Ju De Building and Yi De Building are for male students; the accommodation fees are NT$8,000 and NT$14,200, respectively, per semester (18 weeks). Chong De Building are for female students; the fees are NT$14,200, respectively, per semester (18 weeks). In Ming De building, male and female students are allocated on different floors. The fee is NT$9,050 respectively, per semester (18 weeks). Accommodation in winter (about 5 weeks)/ summer (about 11-12 weeks) breaks requires further application and expenses—NT$350 per week. Remarks: Dormitories only provide empty beds. Boarding students will need to prepare personal items and accessories, such as bedding and pillows as well as washing utilities. Foreign students boarding with domestic students shall follow the same rules. No cooking or usage of cooking electronics (e.g., cooker, microwave oven, and electromagnetic oven) is allowed in any dormitories.     Transportation

    Driving to Chang Gung University 1. After exiting the Sun Yat-sen Freeway at the Linkou Interchange, please drive to the Sports Park via Wenhua First Road. Then please drive straight to the Zhiqing Lake and turn left. You will see the main entrance of Chang Gung University on your left side. 2. From Changshou Road in Taoyuan, please turn left to Zhenxing Road. When you reach Wenhua First Road, please turn right into the Sports Park. Alternatively you can turn right to Fuxing First Road via Zhongyi Road, and then turn right to Wenhua First Road to enter the Sports Park. 3. From Xinzhuang District in New Taipei City, please drive on the Second Provincial Expressway (Xinbei Avenue) and turn right to Qingshan Road. Then please go straight to Wenhua First Road and turn left into the Sports Park. 4. From Shulin District and Huilong in New Taipei City, please drive on the Second Provincial Expressway (Xinbei Avenue) and turn left to Qingshan Road. Then please go straight to Wenhua First Road and turn left into the Sports Park. Taking public transportation to Chang Gung University 1. Taking the Airport MRT: Please get off at the A7 station (National Taiwan Sport University Station) and walk for approximately 15 minutes to Chang Gung University. 2. Taking the Taiwan Railway: Please get off at the Taoyuan Train Station. Take Formosa Fairway Corporation Bus (2003) to Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and then take another Formosa Fairway Corporation shuttle bus to Chang Gung University. For bus routes and timetables, please refer to the Formosa Fairway Corporation website. 3. Taking the Taiwan High Speed Rail: Please get off at the Taoyuan Qingpu Station, and then take the Airport MRT to A7 station (National Sport University Station) and get off there. Walk for about 15 minutes to Chang Gung University. 4. Taking other buses (e.g., Kuo-Kuang Motor Transportation, United Bus, etc.): Please get off at the Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (Fuxing First Road, Wenhua Second Road), and then take the Formosa Fairway Corporation bus (to Chang Gung University). To Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and Linkou District: Exit from the main entrance of the Sports Park and go straight on Wenhua First Road. Alternatively exit from the main entrance of the Sports Park, turn left to Zhenxing Road, and then turn right into the Hwa Ya Technology Park. Via Hwaya Second Road, you can reach Wenhua Second Road. 2. To Guishan and Taoyuan City: Exit from the main entrance of the Sports Park and turn left to Zhenxing Road. 3. To Xinzhuang and Taipei: Exit from the main entrance of National Taiwan Sport University, keep going for about 100 meters and turn right. Via Qingshan Road, you can reach Xinbei Avenue. ★ On Qingshan Road, please be careful on the curvy roads and drive slowly.
