President Tang Ming-che (third from left in the front row) poses for a group photo with the faculty members of the Department of Computer Science and the AI Bachelor's Degree Program at the opening ceremony.
The Department of Computer Science and Technology submitted 16 works to the exhibition, including 10 project submissions to various competitions, winning a total of 8 awards.Among them, under the guidance of Director Hsieh Wan-yun,students Kao Teng-hsuan,Wang Yi-chen,Lin Chih-yuan,Liao Yu-hsuan,and Lin Yi-chen won the overall championship in the "2025 Generative AI Creative Design Competition" held at Asia University with their project titled "TASK - 'Holistic Fitness' Smart Teaching Assistance System," winning a prize of NT$100,000.
Director Xie Wanyun (first from left) guides the student team to create a smart teaching system to promote the sport of ball sports.
Director Hsieh stated that Taiwan ranks third in the world in cross-country ball competitions, making it a relatively strong sport internationally, but relatively unpopular domestically. The student team combined image posture recognition, data analysis, and generative AI technology to provide a smart teaching system, hoping to reduce the difficulty of promoting cross-country ball on campuses and solve problems such as insufficient resources and teachers' inability to pay attention to the learning progress of all students in physical education classes.
Under the guidance of teachers Wu Chi-jen and Cheng Chen-mu,students Chiang Hung-an,Hsieh Tien-chun,Hu Tun-wei,and Wu Hung-wei won second place in the "2024 National College Industry-Academia Innovation and Practical Competition" held by National Changhua University of Education and the Changhua County Industry-Academia Collaboration Association for their project "Research on Verilog Code Generation and Iteration System Based on LLMs." They also won the Potential Star Award in the "2025 GenAI Stars Generative AI Application Selection" organized by the Ministry of Digital Development.
The team stated that this project utilizes large language models to automatically generate and optimize Verilog RTL (Register Transfer Level) design code, thereby reducing the development threshold of hardware design and improving efficiency. It establishes an automated RTL generation process that combines multi-model collaboration with timing diagram assistance, allowing large language models to correct each other's code errors and achieve a reinforcement effect similar to ensemble learning.
At the joint graduation exhibition of the Department of Computer Science and the Department of AI at Chang Gung University, students carefully introduced their project results to the reviewers and visiting faculty and students.
Furthermore,Professor Li Jiqing's guidance of Huang Dingxin,Hans Jonathan,Zhu Lei'an,and Jian Yunzhen in their project "Dancing Youth—Dancing Partner GO!" utilizes AI posture recognition as its core, combined with multi-view skeletal fusion technology. Besides dance instruction,it can also be extended to sports training, yoga instruction, and posture correction, creating a smart learning environment accessible to everyone with wide-ranging applications.
On the other hand,Zhang Xianzong,Director of the Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence program, stated that in the AI era, simply writing programs is far from sufficient. The truly important thing is how to translate creative ideas into functional, usable, and inspiring finished products through programming and design. The Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence program upholds this spirit, guiding students from scratch to the point where they can build their own intelligent systems.
This year's nine projects spanned fields such as smart environments, image recognition, edge computing, healthcare,AI broadcasting, and medical assistance. Each project represents a journey from initial idea to final product, showcasing students' ability and courage to turn creativity into practice, and presenting the true face of cross-domain integration in the AI era.
At the joint graduation exhibition of the Department of Computer Science and the Department of AI at Chang Gung University, students carefully introduced their project results to the reviewers and visiting faculty and students.
Among these,Professors Chen Yuepeng and Wu Shilin guided Lin Xinying,Tang Chenxin, and Kang Yuting in their project,"HINE Infant Posture Recognition System." Utilizing YOLOv10 and MMPose as core technologies, the system combines an infant clinical image database,a motion grading model, and a cloud deployment process to create a complete medical assistance system with automatic detection, posture analysis, and AI report generation capabilities. The project not only boasts a solid technical architecture but also demonstrates high potential for medical applications, earning an honorable mention at the "2025 Asian University Smart Future Competition."
Professor Hojjat Baghban led Huang Weijie,Lin Zheheng,Lin Xuanchen, and Huang Jiaocheng in their project,"LLM-enabled Network Service Monitoring Analyzer in Edge Intelligence Environment." Centered on large-scale language models,Function Calling, and edge computing, the project assists users in quickly querying system status using natural language and obtaining dynamic maintenance suggestions.Demonstrating mature system integration capabilities, the project won third place at the "2025 Gengxin Cup."
Under the meticulous guidance of faculty members from both departments, students continuously pushed their limits in the process of brainstorming, learning, experimenting, and implementing their research projects, showcasing the solid skills accumulated over four years. This joint graduation project exhibition also attracted many faculty, staff, and students from across the university to visit, experiencing firsthand the innovative ideas behind AI applications. They were all deeply impressed by the students' performances, bringing this year's exhibition to a successful close.
