The latest "World's Top 2% Scientists"list will be released in September 2025.This list,established by Stanford University based on Scopus,utilizes all Scopus authors and covers 22 main disciplines and 174 subfields.Scoring is based on the following key indicators:total citations,Hirsch h-index,Schreiber Hm-index(corrected for co-authors),citations for papers published as a single author,citations for papers published as a single author or first author,and citations for papers published as a single author,first author,or last author.
Finally,the C-Score was used as the ranking criterion(the six logarithmically transformed citation indicators(NC, H, Hm, NS, NSF, NSFL) were standardized one by one,assigning each indicator a standardized value from 0 to 1,where 1 represents the scientist with the highest original value for that indicator,and then summed).
This resulted in two lists:the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Ranking (1960-2024)" and the "2025 Annual Scientific Impact Ranking."
Congratulations to two professors from our department for being recognized as among the top 2% of scientists worldwide in lifetime achievement awards.
