Congratulations to Dr. Pei-Chun Fan, nephrologist at Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, on successfully passing the PhD dissertation defense at our institute.
Dr. Fan has long been dedicated to nephrology and translational research, focusing on the mechanisms underlying acute kidney injury and cardiorenal syndrome. Her research explores the use of circulating microRNA as potential biomarkers, aiming to improve the early diagnosis and clinical prediction of kidney injury following acute myocardial infarction, and to open new possibilities for precision medicine.
A compassionate physician and a committed scholar, Dr. Fan has continued to pursue academic excellence while managing the demands of a busy clinical practice. Achieving this doctoral milestone is truly a remarkable accomplishment. It is also especially heartening that Dr. Fan and her husband, Dr. Chih-Hsiang Chang, are both distinguished graduates of the Graduate Institute of Clinical Medical Sciences at Chang Gung University, supporting one another on their shared journey in medicine and academia.
