2. Application qualifications: First-year doctoral students who have registered for admission to domestic public and private universities (hereinafter referred to as the schools) before the end of September 2024 and have obtained freshman status in 2024.
3. Eligibility: The documents submitted by the applicant will be approved after professional academic review. The approval letter issued by the National Science Council will mean that the applicant has obtained the award qualification. Subsequently, the school will apply for the scholarship from the association. The National Science Council will award the recipient the title of "NSTC Graduate Research Fellowship (NSTC-GRF)" and issue a certificate. However, those who have any of the following circumstances are not allowed to apply for this scholarship:
(1) Those who are engaged in full-time paid employment in public or private institutions or who apply as part-time students.
(2) Those who enroll as students from Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China.
(3) Those who take a leave of absence after admission, retain their admission qualifications, or fail to complete registration.
(4) Those who have received scholarship funds from the same government department.
4. Award Amount: Each awarded doctoral student will be awarded a monthly scholarship of 40,000 yuan, which will be awarded for 3 years starting from the first year of the doctoral class, and will be allocated retroactively from September 1, 2020; those who graduate within 3 years will be awarded until the month of graduation. end. The award amount will be fully borne by the National Science Council.
5. The application process and award quota for the remaining places in the 113-year selection category:
(1) The online system is open for acceptance from December 1, 2020 (Sunday) to January 10, 2020 (Friday) at 12 noon. Applicants must upload all application documents and submit the application before the deadline.
(2) The scheduled announcement date of the review results: February 27, 2020 (Thursday), which may be extended if necessary.
(3) Rewards will be given based on the review results. The number of candidates will not exceed 88. Any shortfall may be awarded.
