The SPF District Animal Center is designed for the research, testing, and rearing of pen animals such as immunodeficiency genetics and genetic modifications. In terms of facilities, the SPF barrier is supplemented with IVC cages equipped with sterile facilities. In rural areas, reverse osmosis water is packed in sterile bottles. The bedding is corn cobs, which are sterilized with the cage before use. The feed is γ-autoclaved LabDite 5053. Cost: 9 yuan/cage/day (this fee includes bedding, feed and quarterly health monitoring). Personal protective equipment is 15 yuan/person/time (this fee includes shoe covers, gloves and masks).
