The Institute will be established in August 2025
As AI technology grows by leaps and bounds, researchers in the medical
field need to process large amounts of data using machine learning and artificial
intelligence to innovatively solve clinical and health-related problems.
We can conduct eHealth research by utilizing machine learning to
explore vast and diverse datasets, integrating them with clinical information,
medical statistics, and other technologies. By applying big data, we can
effectively and swiftly solve health and clinical problems and turn the
traditional concepts of human health and medical research around, which holds a
promising future.
Currently, existing data science programs
mainly focus on engineering science and lack of professional training in the
field of health data science. Therefore, the” Institute of Health Data Science “ is going to be established in 2025 to cultivate graduate-level researchers who can deploy AI to process
health data, conduct predictive analyses and contribute to the development of
the global eHealth industry.
With advanced research resources and close cooperation with the
Chang Gung Medical System, we provide excellent teaching and research
environment for our students while also meeting the industry's expectations and
needs for data science professionals.
