NSTC Call for Applications: 2026 Taiwan–France Scientific Grand Prize

【Purpose and Award Details】
Based on the “France-Taiwan Scientific Prize Agreement” signed between the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and the Académie des sciences (French Academy of Sciences), the annual prize is awarded to a joint team of French and Taiwanese researchers in recognition of their outstanding scientific collaboration.

Award: The winning team will receive a medal and a prize of €40,000.

【Eligibility and Application Process】
  1. Joint Submission: Applications must be submitted simultaneously by the Taiwanese and French researchers to the NSTC and the Académie des sciences, respectively.
  2. Taiwanese Principal Investigator (PI) Qualifications: The Taiwanese applicant must meet the PI eligibility requirements as defined in the NSTC "Guidelines for Funding Research Projects."
  3. Institutional Submission: Applications must be consolidated and submitted through the NSTC online system by the applicant’s host institution.
【 Important Dates and Deadlines】
To allow for administrative processing, please note the deadlines:
  • University Internal Deadline: 12:00 PM (Noon), Monday, June 1, 2026. (This early deadline ensures our office has sufficient time to consolidate online applications and mail the official list of candidates to the NSTC.)
