National Cheng Kung University Bilingual Education Promotion Office will host the “Active Learning Workshop Series for Teachers – November”, an online EMI teaching enhancement program for faculty members of higher education institutions nationwide.

1. Purpose

This online workshop series is co-organized by the Bilingual Education Promotion Office at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and the Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Georgia (USA). The series invites international experts to conduct EMI professional development workshops, supporting instructors in strengthening their English-Medium Instruction (EMI) teaching skills and enhancing the practical effectiveness of EMI course implementation.


2. Workshop Information

(1) Topic 1: Crafting Student-Centered Lessons with BOPPPS

  • English Session: November 4, 2025 (Tuesday), 11:00–12:15

  • Chinese Session: November 5, 2025 (Wednesday), 11:00–12:15

(2) Topic 2: Small Teaching, Big Impact – Integrate Lectures with Active Learning

  • English Session: November 11, 2025 (Tuesday), 11:00–12:15

  • Chinese Session: November 12, 2025 (Wednesday), 11:00–12:15

(3) Venue: Online. Meeting links will be provided via email after registration is completed.


3. Registration Information

  • Eligible Participants: Faculty members from universities and colleges nationwide. Admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
