Congratulations to Graduate Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Science Students on Publishing as First Authors in SCI Journals

Students Hao-Hsiang Chang, Jui-Sheng Chang, and Shun-Chien Cheng have achieved remarkable results in academic research, demonstrating exceptional expertise and innovative thinking in the craniofacial field. Their studies were published in renowned SCI journals as follows:
  • Hao-Hsiang Chang: Published in Clinical Oral Investigations, "Stability between single and segmental maxillary osteotomies in bimaxillary surgery for cleft-associated class III deformity: a CBCT study." The research explores the stability of single versus segmental maxillary osteotomies in bimaxillary surgeries for cleft-associated Class III deformities.
  • Jui-Sheng Chang: Published in the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, "Prediction of surgery-first approach orthognathic surgery using deep learning models." This study employs deep learning models to predict outcomes of the surgery-first approach in orthognathic surgery, offering advanced technological support for clinical applications.
  • Shun-Chien Cheng: Published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, "Diagnosing Maxillary Occlusal Cant with average 3D Skeletofacial Model Template." This research enhances diagnostic accuracy of maxillary occlusal cant using a 3D skeletal-facial model template.
The outstanding performance of these three students not only lays a solid foundation for their academic careers but also brings great recognition to the institute. We look forward to their continued contributions to academia and clinical practice, achieving even more impressive accomplishments in the future!
