Call for Applications:Subsidies for Students Participate in Domestic Academic Research Achievements Competitions and Domestic Academic Conferences

1.Eligibility: Undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students who registered at CGU.

2.Types of Subsidies

(1) Domestic Academic Research Achievements Competitions: Limited to competitions organized by government agencies or leading organizations in the field. Participants must list CGU as their affiliation (excluding sports, clubs, and innovation and entrepreneurship competitions).

(2) International Academic Conferences Held in Taiwan: Limited to academic conferences held in Taiwan by international associations or journals, with participation from representatives of at least three countries.

3. Subsidy Criteria: Please refer to the guidelines in the attached principles.

4. Subsidies Items and Limitations:

(1) Subsidized Items:

Partial funding is provided for students to cover registration fees, transportation expenses, and miscellaneous expenses.

(2) Subsidy Cap: Maximum Subsidies of NT$3,000 per student for domestic academic research achievements competitions and NT$6,000 per student for academic conferences.

5. Conferences that satisfy either of the following conditions shall also be eligible; the conference organizer is not be limited to international associations or journals.

(1) The international academic conference is hosted by different countries on a rotating basis, and the current conference is held in Taiwan.

(2) Each previous international academic conference has invited at least ten international scholars to serve as keynote speakers, invited speakers, plenary speakers, or session chairs.

6. Application Process:

The application is accepted on the first-come-first-serve basis. Applications must be submitted to the Research and Development Office at least one month before the event takes place. Late applications will not be accepted. However, if the delay is due to factors attributable to the organizer, or waiting for other institution subsidies, the application will still be accepted, provided it is submitted before the event date.
