International Collaboration|CSET at iWMK2025 in Kobe

A delegation from the Center for Sustainability and Energy Technologies (CSET) at Chang Gung University, including Prof. Kong-Wei Cheng, Assoc. Prof. Chen-Fang Su, and Assoc. Prof. Wei-Fan Kuan, participated in The 12th International Workshop on Membrane in Kobe (iWMK2025) held on November 13–14, 2025.

This prestigious workshop brought together 18 leading research institutions from around the world, providing a global platform for academic exchange in the field of membrane science and energy technologies.

During the conference, Assoc. Prof. Wei-Fan Kuan, Deputy Director of CSET, and Prof. Kong-Wei Cheng were invited to give oral presentations showcasing CGU’s cutting-edge research.

Assoc. Prof. Kuan presented his work on membrane interface engineering for lithium-metal and anode-free batteries, highlighting how asymmetric membrane structures and surface coatings can enhance battery stability and performance.

Meanwhile, Prof. Cheng shared his research on CO₂ reduction batteries, utilizing bifunctional honeycomb-like electrocatalysts to significantly improve catalytic efficiency and practical applicability.

Both talks drew strong attention from participants and reinforced Chang Gung University’s commitment to international academic collaboration and innovation in sustainable energy technologies.
