1.Background:
The Center for Innovative Technology and Commercialization is now accepting
applications for the "Innovation Prototype Project" according to the
"Chang Gung University Technology Production Innovation Development
Guidelines." The aim is to subsidize the prototyping of technical concepts
resulting from research, creating demonstrable technical prototypes to enhance
product identification. Priority
will be given to funding technologies in the biomedical and medical-related
fields, with each project receiving a subsidy of up to NT$250,000.
2.Application Details:
(1) Eligibility: Faculty and staff of CGU.
(2) Application Method: The project principal investigator must submit the
following documents in both electronic and hard copy (one copy each) to The
Center for Innovative Technology and Commercialization for application:
A. Chang Gung University Technology Production Innovation Development Project Application Form (Attachment 1).
B. Chang Gung University Funding Application Form for the Technology-Based Innovation and Development Program (Attachment 2; for a sample completed form, please refer to Attachment 3).
C. Statement of Disclosure Regarding Subsidized Projects Previously Awarded to Chang Gung University (Attachment 4).
D. If the project involves human trials, approval documents from the Medical Ethics Committee or the Human Trials Committee must be included.
(3) Application Period: From now until November 30, 2025.
(4) Project Duration: 6 months.
(5) Project Budget: Up to NTD 250,000 per project (according to funding source
regulations, principal investigator fees and full-time or part-time assistant
fees are not to be included. Student labor fees may be included under business
expenses).
(6) Application Restrictions and Conditions
A. If an applicant has consecutively received subsidies for the Industry-Academia Innovation Project for two years (rounds), the Center will not accept their application in the following year.
B. If an applicant’s project execution rate in the current year is below 70%, the Center will not accept their application in the following year.
3. Prospective applicants are requested to
submit the electronic version of the project application to citc0940@mail.cgu.edu.tw and deliver the signed hard copy to The Center for
Innovative Technology and Commercialization, 12th Floor, Administration
Building, by November 30, 2025. The proposal will subsequently be reviewed by
the Review Committee, which will decide whether to grant the subsidy and
determine the approved funding amount.
- All participants in the research projects must strictly adhere to intellectual property rights and academic ethics regulations when applying for projects or conducting research.
- Once the application is approved, the final financial report must comply with the Ministry of Education's "Higher Education Sprout Project" subsidy and commissioned expense disbursement and reporting guidelines.
- Successful project executors must cooperate with the university’s technology promotion activities.
