Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals "Potential Project Sourcing and Mentorship Program" Now Open for Submissions

I. Program Overview:

The Potential Project Sourcing Program is designed to serve as a preparatory phase for the SPARK Program (Biomedical and Medical Device Translational Research and Talent Cultivation Program). During this phase, the project office’s mentorship team will assist selected teams by identifying their needs and helping them achieve key milestones—ultimately leading to a formal application to join the SPARK Program.

The SPARK Program aims to support faculty and physicians in the commercialization of technology, technology transfer, academia-industry collaboration, application for large-scale government commercialization projects (e.g., Value Creation Program, SBIR, SIIR), and the establishment of startups. It integrates internal and external resources and provides support in areas such as technical services and business model development.

Benefits of joining the official CGU SPARK training program include:

  1. Acceleration of technology commercialization/product launch through the CGU SPARK platform.
  2. Industry analysis reports tailored to the team's technical field, including regulatory pathways, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  3. Access to the Stanford SPARK Program's training model and resources (https://sparkmed.stanford.edu/).
  4. Connections to angel investors, venture capitalists, corporate investors, and international accelerators (e.g., Rookie Fund, National Development Fund, Cherubic Ventures, etc.).
  5. Free exhibition booths at major promotional expos such as Bio Asia, Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan, and Assistive Technology Exhibitions.
  6. Opportunities for international exposure through 1-on-1 partnering and showcases at events such as the BIO Investor Forum (https://www.bio.org/events/bio-investor-forum-digital) and the LSN RESI Conference (https://www.lifesciencenation.com/).
  7. Participation in the annual Demo Day and Angel Investment Matching Event for opportunities in technical and funding partnerships.
