2. Program Overview: The SPARK program primarily aims to provide a bridge for teachers and physicians to commercialize their technologies, transfer technology, foster industry-academia collaboration, and connect with large-scale projects such as the Value Creation Program, SBIR, or SIIR, ultimately leading to the establishment of startups. It connects internal and external resources and provides services related to technology and business models.
3. Funding: Up to NT$1 million per project for pharmaceuticals; up to NT$700,000 per project for medical devices.
4. Advantages of Participating in the CGU SPARK Program:
(1) Accelerate the commercialization/productization timeline of the team's technology through the CGU SPARK scientific research industrialization platform.
(2) Provide industry analysis reports on regulatory pathways for market entry, market trends, competitors, and other related areas in the relevant technical fields.
(3) Align with the Stanford SPARK Program’s training model and resources ([https://sparkmed.stanford.edu/](https://sparkmed.stanford.edu/)).
(4) Connect with angel investors, venture capital, corporate investment, and international accelerators (such as Rookie Fund, National Development Fund, Hsing Yuan Capital, etc.).
(5) Participate in promotional exhibitions such as Bio Asia, Medical Technology Exhibition, and Assistive Device Exhibition each year, with free booth space provided.
(6) Participate in international 1-on-1 partnering and showcase opportunities at events like the International Bio Investor Forum ([https://www.bio.org/events/bio-investor-forum-digital](https://www.bio.org/events/bio-investor-forum-digital)) and the International LSN RESI Matching Conference ([https://www.lifesciencenation.com/](https://www.lifesciencenation.com/)).
(7) Participate in the annual Demo Day Angel Investment Matching Conference, offering opportunities for technology and capital matching.
5. Eligible Technologies: Focus on technologies related to the development of new drugs/repositioning of existing drugs, innovative medical devices/platforms/software, with a preference for those willing to engage in technology transfer, industry-academia collaboration (preferably with a partner company), apply for large-scale government commercialization programs, or spin-off new startups within two years.
6. Eligibility Requirements: Teachers, researchers, and physicians from the university, its affiliated institutions, alliance hospitals, and the Chang Gung System allied schools are eligible to apply. The team members should include a Principal Investigator (PI), key personnel for technology development, at least one clinical physician involved in clinical research, and technical staff.
