Project Overview
In the post-pandemic era, in response to the development of IoT and digital transformation, simply upgrading factory machinery to achieve machine-to-machine communication is not enough to truly realize the goal of a smart factory. It is necessary to start from the factory side and comprehensively upgrade the supply chain, introducing a core decision-making system that can integrate detailed data and take a holistic approach. In recent years, due to the impact of the trade war between China and the United States and the pandemic, weaknesses in the overconcentration of global supply chains have been revealed, prompting governments and businesses worldwide to reposition the direction of their supply chains. This has resulted in the need to reconstruct a large number of new production lines, which also indicates the emergence of business opportunities, requiring factories to adopt a new decision-making system. "Rush orders" and "inserted orders" have always been common problems in the manufacturing industry. Due to the difficulty of predicting production schedules, businesses are reluctant to accept orders or may accept the wrong orders. Through the development of the intelligent factory's production and sales decision management system in this project, it is possible to grasp the vertical integration on the factory side and the horizontal integration between the supply side and the demand side. Based on real-time information from the entire supply chain, production and sales decisions can be made within 10 minutes. Assuming it can be applied to 10% of the domestic computer industry (including peripherals), and achieve a 5% increase in production efficiency, it is estimated to contribute an additional $2.5 billion in revenue to Taiwan's manufacturing industry each year.
