[Human Research Protection Office Notice] A Human Research Protection training course on " Conflicts of Interest and Risk Assessment in Human Research/Clinical Trials " will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025. We encourage you to register enthusiastically.
1. Purpose: To enhance the knowledge of our staff and students on human research ethics and subject protection, and to implement the human research protection plan, this session aims to help participants understand the conflicts of interest and risk assessment in human research/clinical trials, improve their sensitivity and knowledge related to human subject protection, as well as the considerations to be observed during human research, thereby enhancing awareness of subject protection to safeguard their rights.
2. Date and Time: Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. (Lunch will be provided)
3. Location: 7th Floor Conference Room, Management Building.
4. Speaker: Professor Li-Heng Pao (Member of Chang Gung Medical Foundation's Institutional Review Board)
5. Topic: Conflicts of Interest and Risk Assessment in Human Research/Clinical Trials
6. Target Audience: All staff and students of the university, including principal investigators, research assistants, and graduate students (Master’s and PhD).
7. Registration Method/Deadline: Register through iCGU → Campus Activities. From now until June 17, 2025(or until full).
8. Event Schedule:
11:30-11:50: Sign-in and lunch distribution
11:50-12:00: Introduction, Group Photo
12:00-12:50: Speaker's Lecture
12:50-13:00: Quiz
13:00-: Fill out the feedback form, sign-out
9. Notes:
(1) The participants who complete the registration process and actively participate in the entire event, including sign-in and sign-out, and pass the quiz will receive an electronic certificate of 1-hour training issued by our office two weeks after the course ends (This certificate can be used for accreditation by the Chang Gung Medical Foundation's Institutional Review Board). Certificates will not be reissued if lost.
(2) If you are unable to attend after registering, please cancel your registration in the system to assist the office in preparing for the actual number of participants and catering arrangements.
(3) To protect the rights of all participants, if you register but do not attend without canceling, your participation in future training sessions organized by this office will be suspended once.
(4) The seminar will be conducted entirely in Mandarin, including the quiz.
