Research Topics
Pharmaceutics is regarded as part of the field of pharmaceutical care in Japan, while in Europe and the United States it is more closely associated with practical pharmaceutical research and development. Its core concept lies in redesigning existing drugs through novel formulations, excipients, or materials in order to maximize pharmacological activity, minimize toxicity and side effects, or prolong retention time in the body. The ultimate goal is to make clinical drug therapy safer and more effective, thereby improving patient compliance. Within pharmaceutical research, pharmaceutics is generally considered a downstream stage of drug development and is an applied science. The main focus of this laboratory is to develop new formulations for drugs and to investigate their ability to overcome the limitations of conventional dosage forms.Recent Research Projects
