- The personal data collected from applicants by CGU is categorized into two types:

- Details of family members(C023), limited to parents’ nationalities
- Schools record (C051)
- Qualifications or special skill (C052)
- Record of students, apprentices, Examinees (C057)
- Current status of employment (C061)
- Employment history (C062), including employment start date and duration
- Resignation history (C063), including the date of resignation, along with the following personal information: full name, National Identification Number, date of birth, photograph, gender, educational background, emergency contact details, residential address, email address, contact information, and documentation proving low-income or middle-to-low-income household status.
- Information for Special Examination Services: In addition to the above basic information, applicants requesting special examination accommodations (e.g., those with disabilities or sudden illnesses) must also provide health records (C111) and examinee records (C057) necessary to process the request.
- Scope and Methods of Personal Data Use: Your personal data will be used by CGU for examination-related operations, including the distribution of examination results and related notifications; processing of examination tasks, admission, placement, registration, verification, and enrollment procedures; contacting the applicant (or their emergency contact); necessary disclosures to ensure the integrity and transparency of examination administration; academic research; and other necessary uses that contribute to the fulfillment of the aforementioned purposes of data collection.
- Duration, Location, and Recipients of Personal Data Use:
- Duration of Personal Data Use: Unless otherwise stipulated by law or competent authorities regarding the retention period of examination-related personal data, your personal data will be used for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.
- Location of Personal Data Use: Taiwan (including Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu), or other regions authorized by the applicant for the processing and use of such data.
- Recipients of Personal Data: Chang Gung University, the Ministry of Education, and other competent central government agencies. Any additional or updated recipient entities will be announced on CGU’s admissions website. For applicants requesting special examination accommodations, their health records and related examinee information will be used solely for determining examination arrangements and will not be used for any other purpose.
- Provision of Personal Data:
- You may freely choose whether or not to provide your personal data. However, if you choose not to provide the required data or submit incomplete information, CGU may be unable to verify the accuracy of your personal information or process matters related to the examination.
- Please ensure that all personal data you provide is accurate, up-to-date, and complete in accordance with the requirements of each examination. If there are any changes to your personal data, you are responsible for proactively requesting corrections from CGU.
- Confidentiality of Personal Data: CGU is committed to fulfilling its responsibility to protect your personal data. In the event that your personal data is stolen, disclosed, tampered with, or otherwise compromised due to natural disasters, unforeseen events, or other force majeure circumstances, upon verification, CGU will notify you via telephone, email, or other appropriate means.
- In accordance with Article 3 of the Act, you have the following rights regarding the personal data held by CGU:
- You may request to inquire about, review, obtain a copy of, supplement, or correct your personal data.
- You may request CGU to cease the collection, processing, or use, or to delete your personal data; however, if the data is necessary for CGU to carry out its administrative or academic functions, CGU may decline such requests.
