Call for Proposal of the Ministry of Education Subsidizing Domestic Advance Education Institutions to Send Students Abroad for Professional Internships

In accordance with the "Ministry of Education Regulations for Subsidizing Domestic Advance Education Institutions to Send Students Abroad for Study or Professional Internships," this program aims to send students overseas (excluding China, Hong Kong, and Macau) through international cooperation projects to promote the integration of academic learning with practical experience and strengthen career counseling.

Eligibility for Student Nomination
1. Qualifications: Students must hold ROC nationality and have household registration in Taiwan. Indigenous and new immigrant students are encouraged to apply. Students from other universities may also be selected.
2. Restrictions: Students must not have previously received the subsidy at the same educational level and cannot simultaneously receive other government-sponsored overseas funding.
3. Language Requirements: A minimum English proficiency equivalent to TOEIC 700 or above is required, based on the university's English graduation threshold policies.

Internship Countries
1. Students applying for internships in the following 18 countries are eligible for the New Southbound Dream-Building Program: Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Brunei, Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Australia.
2. Internships in other countries are eligible for the Dream-Building Program only.

University Procedures
1. By the end of January: Project supervisors must submit project proposals to their respective department offices for review.
2. By the end of February: Colleges must submit approved lists, funding priorities, and budgets to the Office of International Affairs (OIA).
3. By the end of March: OIA will hold a university-level review meeting to finalize the internal review and ranking for the Dream-Building Program and the New Southbound Dream-Building Program before submitting applications to the Ministry of Education (MOE).
4. A second selection process may be conducted based on further instructions from the MOE.

Announcement of Results
The MOE will announce the list of approved subsidies by May 31, 2025. The OIA will convene a university-level review meeting within two weeks after the MOE's announcement to allocate funding for sub-projects under the Dream-Building Program. The New Southbound Dream-Building Program subsidy will be determined by the MOE.
