In response to National Library Week, the library is hosting a reading promotion event themed “A Literary Journey Around the World.” We sincerely invite all faculty, staff, and students to embark on a voyage through the world of books and broaden your reading horizons!
The event details are as follows:
☆★ “A Literary Journey Around the World” Thematic Exhibition ★☆
The exhibition features award-winning literary works and related audiovisual materials from around the world, including winners of the Nobel Prize in Literature, the Booker Prize, the National Book Awards (U.S.), the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, the Prix Goncourt, the Naoki Prize, the Taiwan Literature Awards, and more. We welcome you to browse and borrow these materials as we explore the beauty and diversity of world literature together.
A “World Map” is also set up in the event area. You are invited to take the event stickers provided by the library and mark your literary destination on the map. Let’s create Chang Gung University’s unique reading footprint together!
- Event Period: November 18 (Tue) – December 11 (Thu)
- Location:1st- and 5th-floor exhibition areas, Library
- How to Participate: Take a sticker from the area below the map, find the country associated with the literary work and place the sticker on the map.
During the event period, draw a designated task from the mission box and borrow library materials according to the task requirements. Expand your reading horizons and share your reflections after completing the reading for a chance to win exciting reading gifts! We welcome you to take on new reading challenges and open up a whole new world of reading possibilities!
- 1.Event Duration: November 18 (Tue) – December 11 (Thu), until 15:00
- Location: 1st-floor exhibition area, Library
- How to Participate: (1) Draw a mission slip at the event area and borrow at least one library item according to the task.
- Event Incentives: (1)Popular Post Award: Participants who complete all missions and whose post receives 30 or more likes/reactions will be ranked by total interactions. The top three will receive NT$600, NT$500, and NT$400 convenience store gift cards.
(2) After reading, leave a comment in the event section of the Chang Gung University Library Facebook page, sharing your thoughts or recommendation, and tag one classmate/friend.
(3) Send a private message to the Chang Gung University Library Facebook page with your name, student ID/Notes ID, email, and mission slip code. (submissions with incomplete information will not be accepted.)
(2)Participation Award: Among those who complete all missions but do not win a Popular Post Award, 30 participants will be randomly selected to receive a NT$200 convenience store gift card.
(3)There is no limit to the number of reading posts a participant may submit, but each participant may receive only one prize.
The annual ranking of the most popular library collections (statistical period: November 1, 2024 – October 31, 2025) will be published on the Library Week event webpage. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to browse and explore the recommended titles.
☆★“Top Borrowers Ranking”★☆
The top 10 student readers with the highest number of library borrowings during the year (statistical period: November 1, 2024 – October 31, 2025) will be recognized. Awardees will be invited to share their reading reflections on the library collections, which will be published on the Library Week event webpage to encourage and promote a strong reading culture.
